Use this driver for printing drawings and office documents from applications like AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader 5, CorelDRAW and internet browsers. To Install the Driver For all operating systems, use the HP Designjet Software Setup CD. Note the following considerations depending on the system and the type of connection between the printer and the computer. You may find it useful to print this topic for reference while you are using the Software Setup CD. - The "Add New Hardware Wizard" should appear on your screen; click "Cancel".
- Insert the CD into your drive.
- If the CD does not autorun, run the SETUP.EXE program in the root directory of the CD.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- The "Add New Hardware Wizard" should appear on your screen; click "Next".
- When you are asked "What do you want Windows to do?" select "Search for the best driver for your device".
- When Windows searches for a new driver, select "Specify a location".
- Insert the CD into your drive. The CD autoruns; select "Cancel".
- Select "Browse" in the Windows search dialog, and browse to the USBWIN98\100 folder on the CD; click "OK". Windows will then install the USB driver class for the printer. (This is NOT the printer driver.)
- When Windows finishes the USB driver installation, you should either remove and reinsert the CD or run the SETUP.EXE program in the root directory. This time, select your language and click on "OK".
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- The "Add New Hardware Wizard" should appear on your screen; click "Next".
- When you are asked "What do you want Windows to do?" select "Specify the location of the driver".
