The problem is I have installed a Jetdirect card but the printer will not print anything

 

If you have installed an HP Jetdirect print server but the printer will not print anything...

...it is likely that the IP address of the printer is not the same as that of the port that is being used by your computer. This can occur if you cancelled driver installation during the configuration of your Jetdirect LAN card. If this is the case, you must discover the IP address of the card in your printer. (See How do I connect using an HP Jetdirect print server?).

Then you must reinstall the Jetdirect software, using the install network printer wizard. When the software asks you to install the printer driver, don't cancel, but continue right through to the end, which will ensure that the IP address used by your printer is that for which the port is configured.
