Calibrations

The following Calibrations can be performed on the printer:

1. Color Calibration (performed by user) (Applicable to HP Designjet 10ps/20ps/50ps)
The Color Calibration needs to be performed whenever:
» The environmental conditions have changed from the environmental conditions where the Color Calibration was applied.
» The printheads have been replaced.
» The drop volume of any of the printheads has changed dramatically.
2. Accuracy Calibration (performed by Repair Center)
The Accuracy Calibration needs to be performed whenever:
» Banding is detected in printed images.
» The Feed Roller Assembly is disassembled or replaced.
» The Paper-Axis Motor Drive Assembly is disassembled or replaced.
» The Electronics Module is replaced.
» The Encoder Disc is removed or replaced.
The purpose of the Printhead Alignment is to correct the alignment between the printheads in order to prevent color misalignment and print quality defects like banding. Normally he Printhead Alignment is launched automatically after a Printhead has been replaced. The Printer prints the Printhead Alignment page and scans the pattern on the page in order to align the printheads.
4. Color Calibration (Applicable to HP Designjet 30/30n)
